Luedtke, Ruby Delores (29 July 1933 – 10 May 2019)

Ruby D. Luedtke, 85, of Neillsville, WI died on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Three Oaks Health Care Center in Marshfield, WI under the care of Ascension Hospice.

Ruby Delores Lenox was born on July 29, 1933 in Racine, the daughter of Henry W. and Nellie C. (Hires) Lenox. She attended the Bristol Grade School and Wilmont High School in Kenosha. She was united in marriage to Herman A. Luedtke, Sr. on July 17, 1954 in Sturtevant. Together they farmed and raised 12 children. Ruby loved gardening, canning and raising geese.

She is survived by 11 children; Herman (Lynn) Luedtke of Fifield, William Luedtke of Waterford, Carol (Anthony) Gohde of Columbia City, IN, James (Karlene) Luedtke of Marshfield, John (Denise) Luedtke of Spring Lake Park, MN, Daniel (Cheryl) Luedtke of Granton, Belinda (Darrld) Strigel of Auburndale, Susan (James) Heck of Greenwood, Karen (Neal) Torkelson of Beloit, Deborah Holz of Chippewa Falls, and Louise (Steve King) Luedtke of Pittsville; 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Herman and a son, Kurt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be Herman Luedtke, Jr., William Luedtke, James Luedtke, John Luedtke, Daniel Luedtke and Mark Luedtke.
