The Lake Superior District Power Co. May withdraw from its action against the
city councilmen and officers of the city of Medford.
The suit was the subject of a telephone conversation between President Hidgkins
at Ashland and Mayor C. F. Luepke, but there has been no confirmation by letter.
This would clear the slate for an amicable settling of the price to be paid for
electricity to the power company by the city. The law provides that if a city
and a power company cannot come to an agreement on the price of the juice, the
Wisconsin Public Service Commission may okay it if the commission see fit; if a
city and a power company cannot agree on price the commission may step in and
settle the price question.
