Knight, Melissa Joy “Missy” (21 AUG 1972 - 1 APR 2019)
Melissa Joy Knight “Missy”, grew up in Hermitage, Missouri, born on August 21,
1972 in Winfield, Illinois, to Joyce Grube and Lavern Grube, passed away at age
46 on April 1, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri after a short battle with pneumonia.
Melissa was the loving, happy partner of Monte McCray. She is survived by her
son, Brandyn Grube; brother, Aarron Knight; sisters, Shannon Suarez, Lisa Schoon,
Sarah Blakely, and Emily Konrad; grandchild, AnnMarie; uncle, Gary Parks (like a
father figure); nieces, Jessica Schmitz, Amanda Grube, Taylor Blakely, Madison
White, Allison Pollakowski, Molly Schoon, Lauren Blakely, Hannah Schoon, Ellie
Konrad, and Lila Konrad; and nephews, Joshua Knight, Jeffrey Knight, Jonathan
Schoon, Tyler Schoon, Sam Pollakowski, Davis Knight, Maxwell Schoon, Dillon
Knight, Kolton Konrad, Chase Knight, and Cody Knight. She also leaves behind her
greatly loved cat, Honey and dog, Buddy (her constant companion).
Some of Melissa's favorite things were enjoying life with Monte - farm life,
fishing, hunting, concerts, happy and loving; and also making family and friends
happy, always smiling and willing to work for good. Friends and family can pay
their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Marissa Coblenz, on
Tuesday, April 9 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home, Hwy
54 E, Wheatland, Missouri, 65779.
