Louis Kleinschmidt a life-long resident of the town of Lynn succumbed to a heart attack Friday evening as he was ascending the steps of the Purdy Junior High School to attend graduation exercises being held there. He had been in poor health for some time and has one light stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Kleinschmidt was born in the town of Lynn, Dec. 16, 1867, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kleinschmidt, early settlers of the town of Lynn. Except for winters spent in logging camps he lived all his life on the home farm. He was highly respected throughout the community and was genial and hospitable in his dealing with his fellow men. In earlier years he had been an active member of the Masonic and Odd Fellow lodges.
He was never married. For several years past Mr. and Mrs. John Hauser lived in his home and took care of him when he was ill.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Nasonville Presbyterian church, Rev. G. W. Longenecker of Neillsville officiating. Deceased is survived by one brother, Leo Kleinschmidt, also of the town of Lynn. A sister, Mrs. Barth and three brothers, Henry, Fred, and Carl are deceased.
