Mrs. Melvin Atzen was hostess last Thursday evening to a surprise birthday party
for Gust Hintz, who was 85 Friday. Birthday songs were led by Mr. and Mrs. Atzen,
and daughter, Nancy. All guests of the hotel along with restaurant helpers join
in. Cake and ice cream were served.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Steffen spent Tuesday through Thursday of last week at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steffen in New London.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp Sr. and son, Gerald, drove to Wausau Friday, where
Harold left for Ocala, Florida As owner of Kalepp Implement Company, he was
flown there by the J.I. Case Company to attend the showing of the new Case farm
machinery line this week.
Mrs. Lily Wilson of Marshfield spent the weekend with her daughter and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp Jr. She returned to Marshfield with her daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hawks.
Mrs. Jane Myre and children spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Harold Kalepp Sr.
