Norman Opelt of the town of Levis and Miss Mary Ann Grzannah of Neillsville, were married at Waukegan, Ill., at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, Rev. Davies performing the ceremony at his home.
The groom is the son of Arthur Opelt of the town of Levis. He grew up on the home farm, graduating from Neillsville High school in 1933 and from the short course in Agriculture at State University in 1934. Up till recently he has worked in Madison since his graduation. He is a young man of industry and good habits.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Aug. Louis of Wisconsin Rapids. She graduated from Neillsville High School in June 1936 and since than has been employed steadily in the First National Bank where she had worked at odd times during the latter part of her high school course. She is a young woman of fine qualities and has won many friends by her courtesy and competence.
The groom expects to work on the home farm, also having a milk route up until this September when eh will resume his work for a milk firm in Madison. The young couple is living at the father’s home. For the present the bride continues her work in the bank, driving back and forth.
