Volk, Frances (Marriage - 19 June 1937)
The marriage of Miss Frances Volk, Chicago, formerly of Willard, to James Matousek of Chicago, took place in that city June 19 at the Epiphany Catholic Church, Rev. Father Cummings performing the ceremony. The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volk of Willard, was attended by her sister, Emma as maid of honor and Anne Matousek, sister of the groom. Albert Volk, brother of the bride, was best man.
The bride was attired in a white lace dress and veil and carried a bouquet of white carnations and the bridesmaid wore an ecru blue dress and hat and carried American beauty roses. The men wore tuxedoes.
After the ceremony immediately, friends and relatives were guests at a dinner at the groom’s home. The young couple is planning on a honeymoon trip down the Great Lakes to Niagara Falls after which they will make their home in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Volk of Willard went to Chicago to attend the wedding.
