Ulrich, Nancy Ann (Fergot) (3 AUG 1933 - 11 MAY 2019)
Nancy Ann Ulrich, age 85, of Stratford, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May
11, 2019.
Nancy was born in Edgar, on Aug. 3, 1933, to George and Marie Fergot. She
graduated from Edgar High School and became a bookkeeper. Nancy worked in
various locations including Dallas, Texas and Milwaukee, after graduation until
1964. Nancy married Fritz Ulrich on Dec. 28, 1963, and in 1964 returned to
Stratford. She then joined the Stratford School District where she fulfilled the
bookkeeping duties for 33 years until her retirement in 1997.
Nancy enjoyed giving to others, spending time with family, reading, traveling,
viewing nature, celebrating her Irish heritage and participating in the Lady’s
Aid at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Her favorite place was the cottage in
Tomahawk, where she enjoyed countless campfires, cookouts and pontoon rides.
Nancy cherished her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Devin Ulrich, and spent as much
time with them as possible.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Fritz; son, Jon (Charmaine) Ulrich;
grandchildren: Devin and Kaitlyn Ulrich; brothers: Billy (Sylvia) Fergot, Bobby
(Joyce) Fergot and Sam (Mary) Fergot; sisters-in-law: Lois (Gordy) Fergot and
Bonnie (Pat) Buchberger; and brother-in-law Bob (Donetta) Ulrich. She is also
survived by many nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters: Margie (Bob)
Palmiteer, George Jr. (Doris) Fergot, Edith (Bill) Moore, Roy Fergot and Gordy
Fergot.
A special thank you to Country Terrace of Stratford for their compassionate care
as Nancy’s Alzheimers progressed, and also to the Hospice Care program.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Ebenezer
United Church of Christ in Stratford, where the visitation will be from 9 a.m.
until the time of service. Rev. Doris Ruben will preside. Nancy will be laid to
rest immediately following the service at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the memorial fund at Ebenezer
United Church of Christ or the Hospice Care program.
