Boller, Bessie Ann (19 Sept. 1876 - 4 July 1937)

Bessie Ann Mayhew was born at Greenbush., Wis., Sept. 19, 1876 the eldest daughter of Addie and Albertus Mayhew and passed away at her home in the town of Lynn, Clark County, at 7 p.m., July 4, 1937 after a lingering illness. Her childhood was spent with her parents on their farm home until, February 21, 1900 when she was united in marriage to W. P. Boller of South Byron, Wisconsin. To this union two sons Carlton and Blanchard were born. The first years of their married life were spent at South Byron and later moving to a farm at Oconto, Wis., where they lived for eight years spent in the state of Oregon her entire life was spent in Wisconsin. For the past 20 years she has lived on their farm home in Lynn. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and kind friend.

A short service was held Tuesday, July 6 at 8 a.m. from the home with Rev. Longenecker officiating. The body was then taken to Greenbush, Wis., where she lay in state at the M. E. Church from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. when additionally services were held with Rev. Wise officiating. "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden" were sung by Miss Susan Roberts and Mrs. Effie Conger. She was laid to rest beside her parents in the family lot in the Greenbush cemetery.

Pallbearers were the three brothers, Ralph, Floyd and Raymond Mayhew and the three brothers-in-law, Frank Preston, Frank Herrling and Louis McLean. Flower girls were a granddaughter Charlotte Boller and three nieces Aretta Mayhew, Shirley Hope Preston and Marrilyn Mayhew.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, two sons, five grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers and many other relatives, one sister preceded her in death many years ago. The funeral was wonderfully conducted by Mrs. G. Gilbertson of Granton.
