Fox, Mrs. Freeman (Mary) (25 March 1912 – 25 May 1975)

Funeral services are scheduled for this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home for Mrs. Freeman (Mary E.) Fox, 63, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, who died Sunday, May 25, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, following a lingering illness. The Rev. Larry Grahn of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Marshfield, will officiate and interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery if the Town of Hewett.

Mrs. Fox, daughter of Charley and Sarah Waterman Hall, was born March 25, 1912, at Shortville in the Town of Washburn and was educated in Neillsville area schools. Her marriage to Freeman Fox took place March 29, 1930, in Winona, Mn.

They lived in the area until 1952 when they moved to Illinois for ten years. Mrs. Fox returned to Neillsville thereafter and spent the remainder of her life here.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include seven sons: Marion Fox of Little Rock, Ak., Ruben Fox of Kent, Wa., Clarence Fox of Neillsville, Leo Fox of New Glarus, Bernard Fox of Neillsville, Lawrence Fox of Little Rock, Ak., and Charley Fox of Neillsville; two sisters: Mrs. Olive Eibergen of Granton and Mrs. Beatrice Buelow of Neillsville; one brother, Maurice Hall of Owen; and 22 grandchildren.
