Reinhard, Florence (Marriage - July 1937)

A pretty church wedding was solemnized this morning (Wednesday) at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church, St. Mary’s Ridge near La Crosse, when Miss Florence Reinhard of this city became the bride of Ray T. Baer of Marshfield. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Urbon Baer, brother of the groom.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Reinhard, was given in marriage by her father. Attendants were Miss Geraldine Blake and John Ganelius of Marshfield. Following the service a wedding breakfast was served at the parsonage to the immediate relatives and friends.

Miss Reinhard was attired in a very attractive gown of white mousseline de soie with tiny flowers at the high neckline and shirred sleeves. A narrow pleated ruche outlined the hem and the train of the gown. Tiny self covered buttons fastened the gown from neckline to waist in back. The tulle veil was finger tip length, with wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a white satin prayer book with streamers and tied with white rose buds.

Miss Blake wore a gown of peach silk organdy over taffeta, designed décolleté with a ruffled trained from the waist down, fingerless gloves of white lace and tiny crown of velvet petals. She carried a large bouquet of talisman roses.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and St. Mary’s school of nursing at Madison. She began practicing her profession at Hartford and of late has been nursing at St. Joseph’s hospital, Milwaukee. She is an estimable young lady of the highest type and has an unusually large circle of warm friends in this community where she lived all her life until going away to school. The groom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Baer of Marshfield, has been employed for the past ten years by the Gag Clothing Company of that city. He is a young man affable personality, industrious and excellent character.

Mr. and Mrs. Baer will spend their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and will be at home at 514 ½ West Blodgett Street, Marshfield, after Aug. 5.
