Yankee, Rose Clara (15 Feb. 1897 - 5 Aug. 1937)
Rose Clara Yankee, daughter of Henry and Emelia Yankee was born in the town of Lynn, Wis., on Feb. 15, 1897.
She passed away at a Madison hospital, Thursday evening, Aug. 5, after an illness of over four years. She was 40 years, 5 months and 21 days old.
She leaves to mourn her loss, a brother, Arthur Yankee, and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Porath and Violet, Mrs. Louis Wiesner all of Lynn, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
While at home she cared for her sick brother Martin, until his death in 1928, after that she cared for her aged father until her own health failed, when she was taken to the Madison hospital where she remained until her death.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 8 at Lowe’s Funeral Home and interment was made at the Lynn Cemetery.
Rev. G. W. Longenecker, Neillsville Congregational pastor officiated.
