Koeppen, Augusta (11 SEP 1856 - 10 MAY 1914)

Mrs. Karl Koeppen of the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., who was receiving treatment at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, died at the hospital early Sunday morning, May 10th, 1914, of cancer, aged 57 years, 7 months and 29 days. Lulloff Bros., our local undertakers, brought the remains to this city Sunday evening, where they were prepared for burial and taken to the home of the deceased.

Augusta Lube was born in Wodow, Kreis Pretzlau, Germany, on Sept. 11th, 1856; she was married to Karl Koeppen, Nov 20th, 1881. She came to America, direct to Colby, in the year 1890, and settled on a farm. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, two daughters, one brother and one sister, all residing in the town of Colby.

The funeral and burial will be at Green Grove, Thursday afternoon.
