Thayer, Myrtle (1895? - 16 Oct. 1937)
Mrs. Perry Thayer, who had been in poor health for two years, passed away in Neillsville Saturday, Oct. 16, at the age of 41.
Myrtle Cole was born at Granton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cole.
She attended the Granton schools and graduated from the teachers’ training course in Neillsville in 1916 and taught school for a time.
She was married to Perry Thayer of Granton in 1917 and lived in Granton for several years. Recently the family lived and traveled in a housecar. While staying in Schusters Park last week, Mrs. Thayer became suddenly worse and was taken to the hospital, where she died.
She was a lady of fine mind and greatly loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Miss Geraldine Thayer, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Union Church in Granton, Rev. Arthur Oates of Marshfield officiating. Burial took place in Windfall Cemetery.
