Denzin, Mary (24 AUG 1891 – 16 FEB 1971)
Mrs. Fred (Mary) Denzin, age 79, Tomahawk, a former resident of rural
Abbotsford, died Tuesday in Tomahawk.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan
(Marathon Co., Wis.), with the Rev. John Israel of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of
Tomahawk, officiating.
Burial will be in the Milan Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester, after 2 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Denzin was born August 24, 1891, in the Town of Holton (Marathon Co.).
Marriage to Fred Denzin took place in September of 1961. The couple farmed in
the Town of Holton until 1944, when they moved to Tomahawk.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Alvin Denzin, Abbotsford; four daughters, Mrs.
Wilbur (Viola) Cure, Midlothian, Illinois; Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Piech,
Tomahawk; Mrs. Alfy (Dora) Toderski, Evergreen Park, Illinois; Mrs. Joseph
(Arlene) Fehoettler, Tomahawk; a step-son, Arno Denzin, Golden Valley,
Minnesota; a step-daughter, Mrs. George (Elsie) Svendsen, Wabasha, Minnesota;
three brothers, Alex Sprotte, Tomahawk; Dave Sprotte, Battle Creek, Michigan,
and Ed Sprotte, Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, step-son, brother and sister.
