Moynihan, Muriel (1935? – 31 JAN 1971)

Mrs. Walter (Muriel( Moynihan, 36, office manager for the Greater Milwaukee Open Golf Tournament, was found dead of a heart attack January 31, 1971 at her home, 5615 W. Martin Drive. She had been ill for several days.

Mrs. Moynihan was found dead by her daughter, Kelly, 9, when the daughter tried to wake her up.

Her husband, now retired, formerly was special events manager for the Miller Brewing Company and later the Milwaukee Journal.

Mrs. Moynihan was born in Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) and graduated from high school there. Her husband hired her in 1952 and she was manager of the Miller Inn for eight years. She was office manager for four Miller open golf tournaments, three tournaments when the Jaycees were associated with the open, nd for all three Greater Milwaukee opens.

In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by a brother, Wallace Sprotte of Abbotsford.

Services were at 1;30 p.m. on February 3 in the Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery at Milan.
