Porter, James – Colonel (1900? – 11 FEB 1971)

Col. James E. Porter, age 70, of Fort Royal, Virginia, father of Mrs. Fred (Faith) Caskey of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), died in Warren Memorial Hospital, Fort Royal, February 11, 1971.

Funeral services with full military rites were held Tuesday, with burial in Culpepper, Virginia National Cemetery.

Col. Porter was a veteran of World War II, the U.S. Army and Air Force, and recipient of many medals and honors.

Surviving are his wife, daughter and four grandchildren.
