West, Blanche (Marriage - 27 Nov. 1937)
Miss Blanche West, daughter of Mrs. Grace West of this city and William H. Jake, also of Neillsville were united in marriage at the Methodist Parsonage by the pastor, Rev. E. P. Stone, Saturday evening, November 27th at 7:00 o’clock. They were attended by Miss Irene West, sister of the bride, and Harley Jake, brother of the groom.
The bride wore a full-length wine-colored gown of transparent velvet and a shoulder corsage of pink carnations and white chrysanthemums. Her bridesmaid wore a full-length gown of peacock blue, her shoulder corsage being made of white and yellow chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Jake was graduated from Neillsville high school in 1936 and since then worked as a stenographer.
The groom is employed at the Neillsville Bottling Works.
A wedding supper was given at the bride’s home by her mother to 26 guests, a wedding dance following at Silver Dome Ballroom that evening.
The couple will make their home in Neillsville, Wis. Congratulations.
