Schaller, Mrs. John (1 DEC 1844 - 21 FEB 1915)
Mrs. John Schaller died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Fecker, in the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.), Sunday evening, Feb. 21st, 1915, following a stroke of apoplexy, aged 70 years, 2 month and 28 days.
Deceased was born in Germany, Dec. 1st, 1844, and came to America when a young girl. In May 1860 she was married at St. Nazianz, Manitowoc Co., Wis., to John Schaller. In 1875 they came here and settled on a farm in the town of Colby, Clark Co., where they resided until 1896, when they removed to School Hill, Manitowoc Co. At this place Mr. Schaller passed away in 1908. In the year 1912, she came to Colby and resided with the daughter where she died.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Steve Tepoorten, Mrs. B. Hollman, town of Colby, Mrs. Wm. Fecker, Mrs. Geo. Fecker, Mrs. Frank Gutchow, town of Hull; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also, one sisters, Mrs. John Netzer, and two brothers, Rick and William Binverado of School Hill.
The funeral was held from St. Mary’s Church, this Thursday morning, Rev. H.J. Artmann officiating. Burial took place in the Catholic Cemetery.
