Kleinstick, Clemens R. (22 SEP 1863 - 27 MAY 1915)
Clemens Robert Kleinstick was born in Dresden, Saxony Germany, Sept. 22nd, 1863.
He came to this country in the year 1882, and lived in Medford, Wis., for a year or two. From there he came to Colby, and later settled down in the town of Colby, Clark Co., where he died.
Dec. 20th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Henriette Mueller. Ten children were born to them, of which one died when 2 days old.
His wife died Jan. 12th, 1908, leaving him alone with 9 children, Richard, Otto, Adolph, Elda, Augusta, Herbert, Selma, Louis and Freda, the youngest one day old.
For over a year Rob. Kleinstick has been ailing. This spring he had an operation at the Marshfield Hospital, but nothing could be done for him. He died at his home, of cancer of the stomach, on May 27th at 3:45 a.m.
He was a kind and loving husband and father, and had hosts of friends who sympathize with the children. He was a member of the town board and a diligent worker in the Equity Society.
The funeral services were held at the Zion’s Lutheran Church on Monday, May 31st, at 10 a.m., Rev. C.C. Hartenstein officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Colby Cemetery.
Responses
I am doing a family history on the Robert Kleinstick family. It has been a work in progress for 10 years. I was so excited to see this information posted here. I would appreciate any more information on the family.

Since, family historian Janice Kleinstick posted this reply we have been "putting on our heads together" on the Kleinstick family
She has added this information to their history.
The Mueller name came about on a marriage application, Henrietta Johanna listed her parents as Caroline Johanna Mueller, father Frederick Mueller.
The Caroline Johanna Mueller is nothing like the name Augusta Emily Panke, the fathers name both appear to be Frederick but different last names. Confusing to say the least.
I have tracked down most of the children: Adolph, Indiana; Herbert had a coal mine in Wy. died in Utah; Louis, South Carolina; Elda, Minn.; Otto, Wi.; Selma, Washington State; Richard, Wi. He stayed on the farm after his father Robert died.
Can you find out if the baby lived?
I have an Elfrieda born 1-12-1908 the day that Johanna died. Somewhere along the line I thing she died too. Not sure.
I now know Robert came to the US in 1882, thanks to you.
I'm trying to find info on ships records, Ellis Island starts 1892 so that is no help. A
lso are there any census records you could direct me to?
Thank you Janice
