Will, William Sr. (NOV 1829 - 5 AUG 1915)
In Mellen, Ashland Co., Wis., where he and his wife have been visiting with his children, Mrs. L. Blank and Andrew Will, Mr. Wm. Will Sr. died Aug. 5, 1915, at the home of his daughter, Anna Blank. His corpse was taken to St. Joseph’s Congregation in the town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., Saturday, where they interred his remains. Mr. and Mrs. Will Sr. of the town of Colby, Clark Co., and Mrs. A.G. Dhein joined the funeral party as it passed through Colby. Mr. Will was born Nov. 1829 in Gundersblum, Hessen, Darnstadt, Germany, and reached the age of 85 years, 8 months and 4 days. When he was 21 years of age, he came to his country with his parents and settled on a farm in the town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., on which farm he lived until about fifteen years ago, when he disposed of the old homestead and bought a small home near Cleveland, Wis., which he also disposed of 2 years later, since (when) he and his wife have been making their home with their children.
Those that are left to mourn him are his wife; Wm. Will, town of Colby, Mrs. L. Blank, Mellen; Cornelius, town of Herman; Andrew, Mellen; Irna (Mrs. Olm), Josephine (Mrs. Bergeman), Reedsville, and John of Sheboygan, also two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Dhein of Cleveland, and Mrs. Adam Sturm of Marshfield.
