Carl H. Schmidt of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), passed from this life at the hospital in Appleton, Tuesday morning, Sept. 14th, 1915, of septic Thrombosis, following two operations which he underwent since arriving there.
Deceased was born in Mishicot, Manitowoc Co., Aug. 15th, 1889. He came to Colby about seven years ago and was employed in the E.D. Loos foundry and machine shop. Later he entered the employ of Zillmann Bros., as tinsmith.

He was one of our industrious and honest young men, and his early death will cause many friends to mourn with the family and relatives. He leaves, besides his wife and child, his father, Wm. A Schmidt of Marshfield, three sisters and two brothers, all living in this state.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the Reformed Church.
