Monthe, Augusta (SEP 1915)
Miss Augusta Monthe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Monthe of Spencer, Wis., and Fred Miller of Colby, were united in marriage this morning at 10 o’clock at the parsonage of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. C.P. Schulz reading the services. The Misses Bertha and Hattie Monthe, sisters of the bride, attended. The bride wore a gown of light blue crepe de chine and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas and yellow roses. The bridesmaids wore white dresses and carried astors.
Immediately following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Herman Hoehnke, 2209 North Tenth St. The rooms were prettily decorated for the occasion, the color scheme being green and white and large baskets of flowers were used in profusion.
The bride is a well known young lady, having been employed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morris for the past few years. The groom is a blacksmith at Colby, Clark Co., Wis., where the young couple will reside. They will be at home to their friends after October 15h. (Sheboygan Press)
Fred and his bride arrived in Colby Monday evening and are located in the upper rooms of the residence on second St.
