Oehmichen, Edwin R. (12 JAN 1894 – 04 MAR 1971)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home for
Edwin R. Oehmichen, age 76, Colby, who died at his home last Thursday morning.
Mr. Oehmichen was born January 12, 1894 in Cleveland, Wisconsin, the son of
Louis and Bertha Oehmichen.
He came to the Colby area after serving in active duty in World War I, and in
the occupation army after the war.
Marriage to Louella Hake took place on December 20, 1919, in Colby. The
Oehmichens farmed in the town of Hull.
Pallbearers were: Daniel Oehmichen, Allen Fricke, Donald Ebeling, Gerald
Pflanzer, Larry Oehmichen, and Richard Winnes.
Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow; three sons, Ralph, Elmer, and James of Colby; a
daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Doris) Hahn, Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Witthuhn,
Cleveland, and Mrs. Walter (Viola) Ebeling, Colby, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
