Molle, Reuben (28 MAR 1900 - 26 MAR 1916)
(Unity Correspondent)
Once again the silent messenger has visited a happy home, and taken from the fireside, a lovable companion. On Sunday morning, March 26th, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield, his bedside surrounded by loved ones, Reuben Molle passed to the great beyond, his last moments being a peaceful slumber. The death of one so young and so much though of, is truly lamentable, especially so to heartbroken parents and immediate relatives.
Deceased was born in the town of Unity (Clark Co., Wis.), March 28th, 1900, and at the time of his death was 15 years, 11 months and 26 days old. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Molle, a well known family of that town. Seven days previous to his death, he was taken to the hospital where he underwent an examination and the doctors pronounced it spinal meningitis. After a few days of patient suffering, he rallied and every hope for a speedy recovery seemed about to be realized. Then came the shadow of death, a change for the worse and gradually the span of life grew shorter until the end. He is survived by his parents, one brother and four sisters, Ruth, Leonia, Irene and Miss Ella Duvall.
The funeral services took place Wednesday afternoon, March 29th, at 2 o’clock, from the German Lutheran Church, and was the largest seen for many days, Rev. Kemena officiating, burial at the Beaver Cemetery.
