Erickson, Matilda 'Tillie' E. (12 Dec. 1920 - 7 Sept. 2005)

MEDFORD - Matilda E. "Tillie" Erickson, 85, of Santa Rosa, Calif., formerly of Medford, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at her residence.

Services will be at noon Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Interment will be in Perkinstown Community Cemetery in the town of Grover, Taylor County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 12, 1920, in Dorchester to Otto and Hattie (Liiddecke) Ploeckelman. She married David Lannigan in Phillips on March 29, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1961. She married Conrad H. Erickson in Milwaukee on July 24, 1965, and he died Aug. 21, 1989. Tillie was a homemaker and mother for most of her life. She moved to Santa Rosa in July 2005, to be near her daughter.

Surviving are her son, Dennis (Elmyra "Penny") Lannigan of Eau Claire; three daughters, Ella Lannigan of Tampa, Fla., June Taylor of Port Orange, Fla., and Mary Hux of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Leonard (Anita) Ploeckelman of Sheboygan and Melvin Ploeckelman of Athelstane; and two half-brothers, Harvey (Agnes) Hansen of Sheboygan and Gordon Hansen of Phiillips.
