Smith, John (18 JUL 1879 - 14 OCT 1916)
John Smith, aged 37 years, 2 months and 26 days, died of a nervous breakdown at the Kindersley Hospital, Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada, Oct. 14th, 1916, after an illness of three months.
John was born in the town of Frankfort, Marathon Co., Wis., July 18th, 1879. When four years of age, his parents moved to the town of Hull, where he made his home until in March 1910, when he went to Netherhill, Canada, and filed on a homestead and lived there up to the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn him, his mother, five sisters and two brothers, all of whom were here to attend his funeral except his mother and brother Paul, who were called to Canada some weeks ago by his illness, where they will be detained for some time.
The funeral was held from the M.E. Church in this city, Friday, Oct. 20th, at 2 p.m., Rev. H.C. Hall officiating. Interment at Colby Cemetery.
