McMonagle, Daniel (1836 - 23 DEC 1916)

Mr. and Mrs. T. McMonagle went to Milwaukee, Sunday noon to attend the funeral of Mr. McMonagle’s brother, Daniel, who died Saturday morning at the Milwaukee National Veteran’s Home. He had been an inmate of the home for the past eight years. He was eighty years old.

Daniel enlisted in Co. C 17th, Wis. Vol. Inf., in 1861, and served until the close of the war, taking part in many battles. After the close of the war he served in the regular army eight years. He was well known here, having made many visits to this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.).
