Schmidt, Minnie (21 AUG 1896 - 28 JAN 1917)
Mrs. Alvin Schmidt died Sunday non, Jan. 28, 1917, at her home in the town of Hull, of blood poisoning, following child birth.
Minnie Ipsen was born at New Holstein, Aug. 21, 1896; was married to Alvin Schmidt at that place Dec. 28, 1915. The young couple came to Colby shortly after their marriage and purchased the Kegler farm near Riverside (Marathon Co.).
She leaves to mourn her, besides a husband, the infant daughter, for whose being she gave her life; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Ipsen of Cobb, Wis., four brothers, August, Jr., of Cobb; Charles, Abbotsford; Henry, Ephraim, Wis.; Rudolph, Hew Holstein; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Werner, Holstein, Iowa; Freda and Emma, attending school at New Holstein.
The remains were shipped to New Holstein Monday morning and the funeral and burial took place there yesterday.
