Schaeffner, Selma (5 OCT 1934)
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schaeffner, town of Loyal, was the scene of a pretty wedding Friday afternoon, Oct. 5, at 2 o’clock when Miss Selma Schaeffner was united in marriage to Herbert Fensome, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fensome, Hillsdale. The Rev. Hazel B. Galbraith, pastor of the Free Methodist church of Loyal, performed the ceremony.
The bride was attended by her grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Icenogle, and the groom by the grandfather of the bride, Joseph Icenogle.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to 23 guests, all of whom were attractively decorated for the occasion in pink and white.
Both contracting parties are well and favorably known, the bride having spent most of her life in this vicinity. The groom is a dependable young man and well spoken of by those who know him. They have the best wishes of their many friends for a life of happiness and prosperity.
The young couple left on a wedding trip to the groom’s home at Hillsdale and on their return will live on a farm near Loyal, where they will be at home to their friends.
