Sam Livingston has a brother from Nebraska spending a few days with him.
Alton Lawrence, our merchant, was in Chicago last week buying goods. He purchased a barber chair, so they can dispense with the dry goods box. That will be a comfort.
It is reported that the crows and wire worm are making bad work in the corn.
D.R. Rogers raised his barn last week.
Will Mortimer is having a basement laid for his barn.
Miss Cora McAllister, G.V.T., is expected to talk temperance to the people of York June 8th.
It is reported that Henry Ide’s children, and his sister, Miss Abbie Ide, and hired girl are down with measles, and that C.H. Ide is dodging around to keep away from them.
Our weed commissioner, M.C. Redmond, has been distributing his notices.
