Josiah Baker, of Loyal, closes his singing school this week, at this place.
S.A. Wilcox and H.A. King’s threshing machine started again today. They laid up on the account of the wet weather.
D.R. Rogers has returned from his hunt in Taylor County. He captured one deer. The other boys are out yet.
Potatoes that have been dug for a weeks are rotting very bad.
Farmers are improving this fine weather, husking corn and digging potatoes.
Mrs. Emma Bolton closed her school last Friday in the Kurth District in Grant.
W.F. Bolton has closed the cheese factory in Grant, and has moved over to York Center and is going into farming.
S. Pease, Sr., is going to start for Minnesota this week, to spend the winter with his daughter, Mrs. John Kimmes.
