Mrs. Frank King, of Forest, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, is visiting her folks, Mrs. J. H. Fisher and H. King, and her old neighbors. She used to be an old resident of York.
Miss Mamie Sturdevant, of Pine Valley, closed her term of school in District No. 2 last week. Report says she is to teach the winter term.
Last Tuesday evening, Rev. J.N. Foster, of Galesville, preached to a crowded house. He was pastor here for three years and they were all glad to see him.
Wednesday evening the people gathered at the Town Hall to hear ex-Judge Sturdevant and H.M. Stockwell talk on the issues of the day, and were well pleased with the speeches.
Al Lawrence returned from his hunt where he killed two deer.
William Rowe is fixing the hall for the new way of voting.
Mr. E.N. Phalen is intending to move to Sheboygan County this fall to make it his home but perhaps, he will be like some others who find that Clark County is a good place to come to.
The G.T. are fixing for an oyster supper, Friday evening, October 31st. Just ask D. Davidson what it is for.
