Died the morning of January 28th, Mrs. Eliza Peats, wife of Henry Peats. Her death was sudden, caused by blood poisoning. The funeral was held at York Center Church the 29th. Services conducted by Harry Philpott, of Loyal. Although the roads were very bad, the church was crowded with sympathizing friends. Henry and his daughter Cora have the sympathy of the whole community.
Herb Gibson has returned from Fond du Lac, where he has been spending a few weeks.
Everybody is satisfied that we are going to have some snow this winter.
Rev. James Connor preached to the people of York last Sunday. He has been absent the past month at Minneapolis taking care of his son who has been very sick. He reports him better and thinks he can be brought home soon.
L. Davidson is able to get down stairs. He has been confined to his bed four or five weeks with inflammatory rheumatism.
Emily Smithers is convalescent.
Cora Gardner is recovering from an attack of la grippe.
