The heavy wind storm that passed through on the 14th of September, unroofed the house of Joe McMann (McMahon), and blew down a large amount of timber in the east part of our town.
Threshing is nearly done and grain is turning out well. Threshing machines have been more plenty than men.
Mrs. Martin O’Brien had been quite sick, but is said to be on the gain.
Bolton and Gibson made another shipment of cheese from their factory last week. They ship from Loyal.
Mrs. C.F. Bryant, aged 82 years, died the morning of the 21st of September, from old age. She was the mother of Mrs. C.A. Benedict, with whom she has lived for the past 11 years. The funeral was held the 22nd, preaching by Harry Philpott, of Loyal. The burial took place in the York Center Cemetery.
