WILCOX

On Friday evening last, Samuel Gibson, aged 77 years, died very suddenly. He had been feeling unusually well that day and had just been to the pump where his son was pumping water. He took a drink and remarked what a pleasant evening it was, then started toward the house, when he dropped dead. Mr. Gibson was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The funeral was held at the M.E. Church, Rev. J. Ford officiating.

Jas. and A. Gibson, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Walter Gibson of Sheboygan County, are here, having come to attend the funeral of their father.

Wm. Garvin came near having a runaway one day last week. While driving along one of the neck yoke straps broke letting the buggy pole drop. The horses started turning the buggy over. Mr. Garvin jumped out, but was dragged about forty rods before he stopped them.
