Sloniker, Verlyn John (22 April 1932 - 18 Sept. 2005)
GREENWOOD - Verlyn John Sloniker, 73, of Greenwood, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Wednesday at the church.
Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born April 22, 1932, in Greenwood to Ross and Mildred (Schneider) Sloniker. He married Rosemary Perone on Dec. 7, 1954, in Cornell. He was employed part time by Midland Co-op in Greenwood for several years and farmed on his family's farm until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary Sloniker of Greenwood; five children, Melanie (Gary) Gossrd, Williamsburg, Va., Robert (Patty) Sloniker, Tallahassee, Fla., Diana (Scott) Halvorson, Rice Lake, Larry Sloniker, Greenwood, and Julie (Doug) Schlough, Greenwood; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Delbert (Shirley) Sloniker, Medford, and Edward (Florence) Sloniker, Greenwood.
