Iverson, Bertha (1864? - 1938)

Mrs. Bertha Iverson, 73, who came to Neillsville several years ago to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Tufts, passed away early Sunday morning at the Tufts home after an illness of ten days with pneumonia.

The kindly care of Mr. and Mrs. Tufts, the skilled services of a physician and the constant attendance of a trained nurse provide of no avail in saving the life but no doubt did much to alleviate the patient’s suffering.

Deceased was a native of Norway and leaves besides her daughter, a sister and a several nieces and nephews in Minneapolis.

The body was taken to Fairchild Sunday afternoon by the Lowe ambulance, the Burlington Zephyr carrying the remains to the former home at Galesburg, N. D., where funeral services were held today (Wednesday), interment taking place in the family lot. A number of friends accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Tufts to Fairchild, the latter going on from here to Dakota by car.
