Mrs. John Horn announces the marriage of her son Raymond to Miss Margaret Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schmidt of Loyal, Clark Co., Wis.. The wedding took place at Woodstock, Ill., Sept. 16, 1936, Rev. Roger C. Kaufman officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Erick Carlson, sister and brother-in-law of the groom, attended the couple.
The bride was attired in a royal blue ankle length taffeta dress with a beautiful shoulder bouquet of carnations. She wore hat, gloves, and slipper to match.
The bridesmaid wore a brown ankle length silk dress with a beautiful shoulder bouquet of gladiolas. The groom and best man wore navy blue suits.
A five o’clock dinner was served at the Carlson home to twenty-five relatives and friends. In the evening the newlyweds were entertained by relatives, friends and neighbors at a shower. They were present with many beautiful gifts.
After spending a week in Chicago on their honeymoon, the couple returned to Greenwood where they will make their home with the groom’s mother.
The Gleaner joins with their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy married life.
