Koehler, Amalie (16 July 1859 - 17 April 1938)

Mrs. Amalie Koehler passed away at her home on East Fourth Street Easter Sunday, April 17, 1903, at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 1 day, a stroke of paralysis being the cause of her death.

Mrs. Koehler was born July 16, 1859, at St. Louis, Mo. She was married to Prof. John Ph. Koehler, leaving him to mourn her death; also six children, namely; Ada and Karl of Neillsville; Elly (Mrs. O. Hohenstein), Glendale, Ariz.; Kurt, Princeton, Ill.; Frieda (Mrs. E. A. Sitz), Tucson, Ariz.; Irene of Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held from the family home at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W. Motzkus of the Globe Lutheran Church officiating. Interment took place at the Neillsville Cemetery.
