LeDue, Virgelee E. (January 29, 1924 - April 29, 2006)

Virgelee E. LeDue, age 82, of Eau Claire, died on Saturday, April 29, 2006, in Eau Claire.

Virgelee was born in Jackson County, on January 29, 1924, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Haas) Watenpuhl. She married Elwood LeDue in 1948 in Stillwater, MN. She worked 30 years as an educator in secondary education, retired from North High School in Eau Claire. Her interests included music, theatre and dog care. Virgelee will be greatly missed by all her canine friends that she took care of.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jeannette L. Watenpuhl, of Neillsville; four nieces, Marilyn (Jeffrey) Sigler, of Wisconsin Rapids; Barbara (Daniel) Sours, of Chippewa Falls; Rhonda (Robert) Neuendorf and Linda (John) Steinhause, both of West Allis; two nephews, Randall (Karan) Watenpuhl, of Sarasota, FL; and Andrew (Kathy) Watenpuhl, of town of Vernon; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwood in 1987; two brothers, Arvid A Watenpuhl and Harlan H Watenpuhl; and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Zimmerman) Watenpuhl.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Rolf A Nestingen and Chaplain Susan Ripp officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
