Brown, Ida A. (December 27, 1879 - April 11, 1957)
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville, for Mrs. Ida A Brown, age 77, who died early yesterday morning, April 11, 1957, at the Neillsville Nursing Home.
The Rev. Alfred Schewe Pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will follow in the Neillsville Cemetery.
The former Ida Luebke, was born December 27, 1879, (to Carl and Emilia (Reinke) Luebke), in Manitowoc County, where she received her education. The family moved to Clark County in 1906, settled on a farm in the Town of Weston, and on December 13, 1910, she was married to Lewis Brown. Since the death of her husband she had been making her home with her children. For the past two years she had been a patient at the nursing home.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Hazel) Adams, Route 1 Neillsville, three sons; George Luebke, Cudahy; Herman Brown, Robert Brown; one sister, Mrs. Pete (Minnie) Buddinger, one brother Fred Luebke Rt. 1 Neillsville, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
