Francis, Clara Jean (Marriage - 12 May 1938)
A unique wedding took place at Sunset Point Thursday evening at 8:30 when Darrell Buettner of the town of Weston and Miss Clara Jean Francis of Greenwood took their future home (a house trailer), built by the groom and his brother, to the Rev. G. W. Longenecker home and were therein pronounced man and wife by the pastor, the double ring ceremony being used.
Miss Ruth Dunn and Merrill Francis, brother of the bride, both of Greenwood, attended the couple as witnesses.
A shower and a dance were given for them at Christie Hall that evening. The newlyweds will live for the present on the farm of the groom’s father, Mr. Buettner being a truck driver. Their many friends wish them much happiness and success.
