Kelpin, Minnie (1839 - 7 April 1938)
Mrs. Fred Kelpin, 79, who was a resident of Heathville, north of Granton, for about 30 years, died of pneumonia at the home of her daughter at Northome, Minn., on April 7 and was buried at Orth, Minn., April 10, with services at the Lutheran church. Her maiden name was Minnie Witt, and she was born in Germany in 1839, coming to Rochester, N. Y., in 1878, where she lived six years before coming to Clark County.
The husband also had pneumonia but recovered. Four of the eight children born are living; Mrs. Joe Stranger and August Kelpin of Northome, Rudolph of Orth and Mrs. Lewis Sieckert of International Falls, Minn. News of the death was received the past week by Mrs. Herman Scheeler of Granton, a niece.
