Bayuk, Mr./Mrs. John (35th - 8 APR 1937)
The 35th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. John Bayuk of Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) was celebrated at the Catholic Hall in Willard Sunday, April 4th, 1937, by friends and relatives who gave them a surprise party.
Dinner was served by members of the Holy Family Altar Society to 140 guests. The tables were decorated with a centerpiece of white roses and Easter Lilies. A large wedding cake, decorated in silver and white, and a birthday cake with 53 candles, also adorned the table. Mrs. Bayuk celebrated her 53rd birthday on that day.
Mr. and Mrs. Bayuk received many beautiful gifts. The evening was spent in dancing.
Mr. and Mrs. Bayuk were married in Pueblo, Colo., on April 8, 1902. They came to Willard in 1910 and bought the farm on which they now reside. In 1913 they moved to Ottowa, Ill., where Mr. Bayuk was employed by a brewing company for 3 years. They then returned to Willard and have resided there since.
Eleven children were born to them. They are Mrs. Hugo Quast, Mrs. Anton Fortuna, Mrs. Ignatz Cesnik, Mrs. Joseph Godec, all of Willard; Joseph Bayuk, Jefferson, Ohio; Albert Bayuk, Ottowa, Ill.; Mrs. Rudy Hollman, Milwaukee; William, Edward, Frank, and Florence at home. They have six grandchildren.
Mr. Bayuk has been assessor for the town of Hendren and treasurer of the Holy Family society for the past 1 years. He is a committeeman on the REA at Willard and has served as school clerk, church treasurer, town supervisor, town treasurer and in other offices.
