Mr. Clair Hindal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irva Hindal of Sheldon and Miss Bernice Ames, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Ames of Sheldon, were united in marriage Friday afternoon, April 23rd, 1937, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. H. Baughman. Rev. Baughman performed the ceremony. Miss Lucille Ames, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Hiram Wampole, cousin of the bride, as best man.
A 6:30 dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, twenty-five relatives and friends being present.
The bride is a graduate of the Ladysmith High School, also a graduate of the River Falls Normal and has taught two successful years of school at Sheldon.
The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, and since moving to Sheldon with his parents three years ago has been employed at the Sheldon creamery and the last few months at a large sawmill there.
The groom has a large circle of friends around Greenwood and vicinity, and the many friends of both young people join the Gleaner in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
The groom left Monday morning for Sacramento, Calif., where he has employment and Mrs. Hindal will follow as soon as her school is out.
