Miss Alice Scharenbrock, the daughter of Mrs. Julia Scharenbrock, Willard, and Herbert Kurth, son of Mrs. Martin Hauge of this city, were married in Chicago June 18, 1938. They were attended by Byron Glass, a friend of the bride, and Marcella Scharenbrock, her twin sisters. Mrs. Kurth wore white satin and carried white roses, her maid wearing pink crepe and carried pink roses.
The bride was born at Greenwood. She is well known in that section of the county, being a lady of refinement and possessed of a winning personality. Mr. Kurth was born and raised in Neillsville, Wis. He is a graduate of Neillsville high school and took a short course at the University of Wisconsin. He is employed as truck driver for the Schumacher Motor Express of Chicago, being a faithful employee and is well liked among his co-workers.
The young couple will be at home in Chicago after July 4th. They are spending their honeymoon here and at Willard.
The many Clark County friends of the young couple wish them happiness and success throughout life, in which the Press most heartily joins.
