Emmons, Evonn M. (July 12, 1949 - August 1, 2006)
Evonn M. Emmons, age 57, of Humbird died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at her home in Mentor Township.
Evonn was born July 12, 1949, in Billings, MT, to parents Benjamin and Ruby (Yates) Schwenneker. She married Loren Sanford, and he preceded her in death October 1980. She married Edward Emmons October 1997 in Northfield.
She was a homemaker and was employed part-time for many years as a retail product demonstrator.
She enjoyed all aspects of being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished cook. She also loved to care for her cats.
Evonn is survived by her husband, Edward; her mother, Ruby Krosinski o Fairchild; a son, Mark (Lena) Sanford of Wichita, KS; one step-son, Terry (Jayme) Emmons of Littleton, CO; one daughter, Lori Sanford of El Dorado, KS; two step-daughters, Dawn (Wendal) White and Diane (Donald) Sealy of Los Angeles; two brothers, Ben (Linda) Schwenneker of Osseo and Joe (Michelle) Schwenneker of Hixton; step-brothers, Howard (Margaret) Krosinski of Humbird, Scott Krosinski of Livingston, MT, and Kenny (Linda) Krosinski of Black River Falls; two sisters, Alice (Glenn Garey) Schwenneker of Menomonie and Betty (Mike) Sprinkle of Fairchild; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Schwenneker; infant sister, Barbara; sister, Cynthia Conforti; step-father, Frank Krosinski; brother, Mark Schwenneker; and step-sister, Barbara Krosinski.
Funeral services for Evonn M. Emmons were held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, with Pastor Ralph Schram officiating. Burial took place in Mentor Cemetery, rural Humbird. Friends called one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Casketbearers were: Charles Beecham, Al Conforti, Kenny Krosinski, Mark Sanford, Ben Schwenneker, Benjamin Schwenneker, Joe Schwenneker and Joseph Schwenneker.
