Svetlik, Gerry (April 10, 1940 - July 16, 2006)

Gerry Svetlik, age 66, of Sun Lakes, AZ, and formerly of Neillsville passed away on July 16, 2006.

He was born in Neillsville, on April 10, 1940 to Catherine and Frank Svetlik. Gerry was a devoted husband and father.

Gerry had been a resident of Arizona since 1978. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1995 and served his country during the Vietnam War. He fought a valiant battle against cancer over the last year and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, John (Kathleen) Svetlik, of Burbank, CA; his daughter, Suzanne (Sam) Hansen and husband, Scott, of San Diego, CA; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Brianna, and Cole. He is also survived by his brothers, Alan (Penny) Svetlik; David (Cheryl) Svetlik; and sisters, Jeanne (Ed) Kubicki; and Carolyn (Hal) Ehrenreich.

Services wee held at St. Steven’s Church in Sun Lakes, AZ. Gerry was laid to rest in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
