Johnsen, John P. (27 JAN 1861 - 11 NOV 1936)

John Paul Johnsen, 75, resident of Unity for 50 years, died as the result of a complication of ailments at 11:30 o’clock last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. L. Rayhorn, route 1, Marshfield. He had been in ill health for some time. A short funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at the Seehafer-Hansen funeral home at Marshfield after which services were held at 2:00 at the Methodist Church at Unity. Burial was made in the Unity Cemetery.

Mr. Johnsen was born on Jan. 27, 1861, in Sabe, Sjelland, Denmark, and came to America 1881. A year later he settled at Unity where he followed the carpentry trade.
